This week we are concluding our Vision 2020 blog series. In today's post, we will focus on a part of the Circadiance vision that has increasing significance as we become more of a digital health company each day: information technology & security!
It's been said many times, but 2020 is a year that has changed the world forever. Virtually every business has made the switch to remote work, where possible, at some point in the past year. Health care organizations have been put in the spotlight. And some technologies, once seen as secure, have been obsoleted to make way for the new way of life. Each of these shifts has had an impact on Circadiance and our vision for the future.
In 2020, Circadiance launched a new digital health product: Synergy Cloud. This software is the latest innovation in remote patient monitoring of premature newborn infants for the hospital and home. To create this product, we had to learn an incredible amount about the work care teams do to remotely care for their patients. We also had to build it from the ground up with security at its center so that health care organizations and patients could have peace of mind that their information was safe. This product has set the stage for many developments to come from Circadiance.
We are committed to the use of only the best information systems for our staff and our customers. The company network and all IT and office equipment is effective and running 24/7. All company data is secure. Data backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place to ensure the company can recover from any system failure or data breach. IT policies for employees and the company are documented and distributed to all stakeholders. The company's online presence is managed in conjunction with our marketing staff. We use state-of-the-art security systems for both our internal information systems as well as the software products and databases we deploy for our customers. Our IT operations ensure a positive customer experience anytime they use our software products. All of these steps and much more have gone into the development of our vision for IT and security over the past year.
