Pittsburgh, Nov. 24, 2020 – Circadiance, a company that develops, manufactures, and markets respiratory remote patient monitoring and respiratory therapy products, announced today that it has received another patent for its SleepWeaver line of Soft Cloth CPAP Masks.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent titled “Airtight Mask Seal” covering the critical design feature unique to all cloth CPAP masks under the patent number of US 10,814,085 Bl.
With the addition of this patent, Circadiance holds 13 US and international patents around its cloth masks technology. “These patents provide further validation of the superior design of our CPAP mask solutions” said David Groll, founder, and CEO of Circadiance. “Circadiance customers report that they receive better therapy using our masks because of the unique seal formed by the soft cloth material.” SleepWeaver masks are the only cloth masks on the market, as well as the lightest and softest masks available to CPAP users.
The elastic fabric on the SleepWeaver interface conforms to a patient’s facial features, so there are no pressure points. SleepWeaver masks form a cloth balloon so that the portion that contacts the face is a cushion of air, rather than a silicone or polyurethane gel gasket. There is also no rigid frame pressing against the face. This allows for multiple sleep positions so that a wider group of patients can receive the therapy they need.
